Special thanks to sponsors of the 2008 Fair!

America's Fair, The Erie County Fair has been fortunate to enjoy working with some of the top local artists in the Northeast. The Fair began an obvious decision to commission local artists to design a collectable showpiece to promote our Fair. Once reviewing the diverse styles and the names of our artists' roster, we thought we would recognize and once again thank them for capturing the emotions of our great Fair.

2007           Wynne Creative Group again created the poster for "Keeping The Dream Alive."

2006

This year's Fair poster, "The Magic Continues" was again created by Wynne Creative Group.

2005

Wynne Creative Group created this year's official Fair poster, "Fairy Tales Can Come True" along with several other marketing pieces.  Wynne Creative Group is a unique firm that focuses on unique creative solutions.  Their core competencies are:  brand development, advertising, design, interactive aolutions, direct mail and sales promotion.

2004

This year's official Fair poster, "There's A Party Goin' On" was created by Symbolic.  Symbolic specializes in the planning, design and implementation of marketing communications that drive business results.  From identity design, to collateral development to website execution, we make sure the message you send isunderstood by those that matter most to you -- your consumers.

2003

JC Hogarth de la Plante is responsible for the IAFE award winning Americana design that said it all, “A Slice of America.”  Hogarth owns J. C. Horgarth de la Plante and Associates and Legacy Murals.  He also created the cover of the Fair hard copy book, “Reflections of America’s County Fair.”
2002Cheri and Andy Wenner of Aurora Art Company used high-end airbrush and computer illustration to create the poster that went along with “Celebrate the Spirit of America.” They have also designed and illustrated for the NFL, NHL, Ron Jon Surf Shop, NCAA Final Four, Big Ten Tournament, MLB Player Association and Humanities Environmental Programs.
2001Mark and Michelle Meisner from East Aurora created the poster that went along with our "It's Showtime" theme. This creative team of husband and wife has also created the much-anticipated poster for Toyfest for the past several years.
2000Fran Lagana Brooks of West Seneca, creator of the infamous "Weeping Santa Series" that can be found in some of the area's finest art shows. She brought the 2000 theme, "It's a Musical Af-Fair" to life with one of her signature paintings.
1999Philip Lepine of Clarence had the task of developing a poster around the theme "Miles of Smiles." Lepine's unique style of extremism made this poster and his work for Artpark very distinct.
1998The theme, "It's Out of this World" opened up a unique opportunity to work with fine art photographers, Angel Art of Getzville, and Graphic Designer Steve Oatmeyer of Buffalo.
1997Thelma Winters retired teacher turned artist, turned a photo into an attractive collectable poster that clearly reflects her quaint style. Thelma and her husband, Eugene, reside in Eden and can still be found at the Erie County Fair in the Log Cabin on 42nd Street working on her next masterpiece. The photo was provided by Angel Art.
1996Angel Art produced this poster. Each year when initial plans for the upcoming year are being made the challenge is, first, what theme should we go with and secondly, how do we relay the many, many assets the fair has to offer. Instead of a preconceived idea to direct them, we gave Angel Art artistic freedom, and a great job they did! This year's poster landed on the cover of Fairs and Expos, a national trade journal.

If you are a talented local artist that would like to have the opportunity to design the poster for the 2007 edition, please contact the Marketing Department in September 2006.
