Horgarth de la Plante and Associates and Legacy Murals. He also created the cover of the Fair hard copy book, “Reflections of America’s County Fair.” |
| 2002 | Cheri and Andy Wenner of Aurora Art Company used high-end airbrush and computer illustration to create the poster that went along with “Celebrate the Spirit of America.” They have also designed and illustrated for the NFL, NHL, Ron Jon Surf Shop, NCAA Final Four, Big Ten Tournament, MLB Player Association and Humanities Environmental Programs. |
| 2001 | Mark and Michelle Meisner from East Aurora created the poster that went along with our "It's Showtime" theme. This creative team of husband and wife has also created the much-anticipated poster for Toyfest for the past several years. |
| 2000 | Fran Lagana Brooks of West Seneca, creator of the infamous "Weeping Santa Series" that can be found in some of the area's finest art shows. She brought the 2000 theme, "It's a Musical Af-Fair" to life with one of her signature paintings. |
| 1999 | Philip Lepine of Clarence had the task of developing a poster around the theme "Miles of Smiles." Lepine's unique style of extremism made this poster and his work for Artpark very distinct. |
| 1998 | The theme, "It's Out of this World" opened up a unique opportunity to work with fine art photographers, Angel Art of Getzville, and Graphic Designer Steve Oatmeyer of Buffalo. |
| 1997 | Thelma Winters retired teacher turned artist, turned a photo into an attractive collectable poster that clearly reflects her quaint style. Thelma and her husband, Eugene, reside in Eden and can still be found at the Erie County Fair in the Log Cabin on 42nd Street working on her next masterpiece. The photo was provided by Angel Art. |
| 1996 | Angel Art produced this poster. Each year when initial plans for the upcoming year are being made the challenge is, first, what theme should we go with and secondly, how do we relay the many, many assets the fair has to offer. Instead of a preconceived idea to direct them, we gave Angel Art artistic freedom, and a great job they did! This year's poster landed on the cover of Fairs and Expos, a national trade journal. |
If you are a talented local artist that would like to have the opportunity to design the poster for the 2007 edition, please contact the Marketing Department in September 2006.
