Erie County Agricultural Society Scholarship
America's Fair, The Erie County Fair awards $9,000 annually in scholarship money. High school graduates and/or college students in their freshman, sophomore or junior year that are enrolling or are currently enrolled in an accredited college pursuing studies in any, but not limited to the following fields: Agriculture, Agri-Business, Ecology and Environmental Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry and Natural Resources, or Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technology.
Click here to download an application. They are also available at all area High School Guidance Offices, at various College Financial Aid Offices and at the Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H Office in East Aurora. Applications must be in by April 18, 2008.
NYS Association of Agricultural Fairs Scholarship
This scholarship is sponsored by the New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs and the New York State Show People's Association. It is open to high school and college students that are active at America's Fair and are pursuing a degree in Agriculture or Agri-Business. All applicants from Erie County must submit their application through the Fair offices.
Applications are available at the Fair offices and through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County (716.652.5400) and local high school guidance offices.
Applications are due at the Fair offices no later than the second Saturday in April.
